I am the great grandson of Lt. Col. William F. Walter of the 205th. I taught at Fort Lee a few years ago, and had the priviledge of walking the earthworks where my great grandfather lead an attack against the Fort. A few of his Civil War documents survived and are in my possession. I am always looking for more info about his outfit, so this site is excellent in providing this. Thanks!
